The 30th Annual EAP Conference ?Drugs and Alcohol at Work ? Risks, Controls, Resources? will take place on Wednesday 10th October 2012 in the Convention Centre, Irish Financial Services Centre, Dublin. The Conference will be opened at 8.30 am by Maurice Quinlan, Director, EAP Institute.

This conference will feature presentations from Employment Law Advisors, Behavioural Health Specialist in the Aviation Sector, Experts in Toxicology and Laboratory Drug Testing on the health and safety implications of intoxicants in the workplace.

The speakers will address current topics on workplace intoxicants, defined as drugs and alcohol, including the legal framework under The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, combatting alcohol abuse and alcoholism in the US aviation sector and the Trade Unions position on negotiating drug and alcohol policies.
The role of the EWDTS Guidelines in European workplace drug testing will be outlined and the processes involved in operating a workplace drug and alcohol testing programme. Full details may be viewed at
