EAP Institute announce Seminar Programme for 2015    
On Monday 22nd September 2014 the EAP Institute, Waterford announced its seminar programme for 2015. Commenting on the announcement, the Director of the EAP Institute Maurice Quinlan said "The 2015 Seminar Programme was designed to provide high value learning to Health and Safety Professionals, Human Resource Managers, Occupational Health Nurses and Employee Assistance Professionals." Included on the seminar programme are topics such as workplace drugs and alcohol, employee health and wellbeing and a new seminar "Managing Workplace Behavioural Health Risks".
He went on, "Employers are increasingly concerned with the implications of employees reporting for work under the influence of intoxicants (defined as drugs and alcohol). They are also concerned with employee?s health and wellbeing and how to manage workplace behavioural risk, problems such as mental health, depression and anxiety."
Continuing, Quinlan said "The Labour Court has found that employers are obliged to provide reasonable accommodation for employees with alcoholism and depression. Where such conditions are identified, professional assessments should be carried out to determine the most appropriate method of treatment and rehabilitation."
