Donald G. Jorgensen, Ph.D.

Donald G. Jorgensen, Ph.D. is the owner of Arizona-based Human Factor Consulting. With over 25 years as a business owner, consultant and trainer in the areas of leadership development, workplace addiction and employee assistance, Don helps bring out the best in employees and organization leaders.

Don’s known for his humor and a straight-forward style as an international speaker and consultant, and has been interviewed in the US, Europe and China on workplace alcohol & drug issues, EAP and crisis response.

Don specializes in working with behavioral health centers, government organizations, EAPs, small businesses, and Native American entities.  He has authored numerous journal articles and books covering such topics as Children of Alcoholics and Workplace Violence Prevention. His “EAP Buyers Guide” has been adopted for use worldwide.

Dr. Jorgensen is past president of the international Employee Assistance Professionals Association and serves on the board of advisors to the College of Education at the University of Arizona.

Don and Kathy work on humanitarian projects worldwide, including South Africa, Zimbabwe, Brazil, and Vietnam.

Don is a cancer survivor, has completed 2 marathons and currently holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt.
